The Person

Liz Borsetti received her BFA in 2012 from Virginia Commonwealth University; majoring in Craft/Material Studies, focusing in metals.  She Lives in Richmond, Virginia and is a resident artist of Mule Barn Craft Studio.

The Style

My jewelry is inspired by facets of rough and cut stones. By using the casting process I create my own gems, then to juxtapose the rough surface I set real gemstones. I make an effort to look for stones that have non-traditional cuts to them such as checkerboard and rose-cut, this helps further the gap of symmetrically cut stones to my asymmetrical castings.
